Etienne Abelin

Violin

Etienne Abelin is a violinist, conductor and curator. A longstanding member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra and the principal second violin of the Orchestra Mozart Bologna 2004 - 2011, both founded by Claudio Abbado, he was also an Artist-in-Residence and music curator at the Festspielhaus St.Pölten in Austria. Etienne co-founded the Sistema Europe Youth Orchestra, the Apples & Olives Indie Classical Festival Zurich, Superar Suisse and the Ynight - Classical in Club series. He's a driving force of Music:Eyes - See what you hear and the artistic director of the Classical Beat Festival (Germany).

Tamar Halperin

Piano

Tamar Halperin studied piano and harpsichord in Tel Aviv, Basel, and New York. In 2009 she received a doctor degree from the Juilliard School, having written a dissertation on Bach. She recorded for labels such as Decca, Neos, Neue Meister and Act (including the two-time Echo award winning Wunderkammer with Michael Wollny).  Her childhood was spent training to be a professional tennis player. Now she lives with her husband in a small village. Tamar is recipient of the Hessischer Kulturpreis 2016.

Tomek Kolczynski

Composition

Tomek Kolczynski studied audio design and free improvisation at the Basel Academy of Music. He works for film and theatre as a musician and composer.  His latest works are the soundtrack for Journey to the Safest Place on Earth by Edgar Hagen, Zwanzig tausend Seiten by Lukas Bärfuss for the Schauspielhaus Zürich (directed by Lars-Ole Walburg), and Amphiytron (directed by Karin Henkel), which was invited to the Theatertreffen Berlin 2014.
